Who we are

Born in a home kitchen and baked with heart—Mi Pan Bakery is the story of passion, resilience, and the power of good bread to bring people together.

When the world paused during the pandemic, Alejandro found purpose in the simple act of baking. With no formal training, just curiosity and determination, he taught himself the art of sourdough. What began as an experiment became a calling—and eventually, a thriving bakery rooted in tradition, quality, and community.

At Mi Pan Bakery, every loaf is made by hand using the finest organic ingredients, sourced locally whenever possible. Alejandro’s commitment to craftsmanship and flavor shines through in every batch—from our signature sourdoughs to seasonal breads and pastries.

More than just a bakery, Mi Pan is a place where food fosters connection. Whether you're picking up a fresh loaf, joining a baking class, or savoring one of our small-batch treats, you're part of a story that began with one home baker and a whole lot of love.

Our First Storefront Is Coming to Mission Gorge

After years of early mornings, farmers’ markets, pop-ups, and community support… Mi Pan Bakery is opening its first brick-and-mortar home in Mission Gorge.

This space will allow us to bake more, create more, and welcome you into our world of slow fermentation, heritage flavors, and seasonal pastries — all in one place.

Mission Gorge will be our next chapter, and we can’t wait to share it with you.
Grand opening details coming soon. The plan is to open late summer/early fall of 2026.

Thank you for helping us rise.

As a small business, taking the leap into our first brick-and-mortar requires a significant investment, and we’re inviting our community to be part of that journey. Your support will help us create a permanent home where we can expand our offerings, continue using top-quality ingredients, and bring people together through exceptional bread and pastries. Every contribution, big or small, helps lay the foundation for a space built with passion, purpose, and shared love for great food.
